Ingredients:
  • 1 packet of Kadafi pastry
  • 0.5 kg walnuts with almonds
  • 0.75 kg sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon
  • 1 lemon
  • 300 ml water
  • 300 g butter
  • 7 cloves
Makes 20 portions.

Sposób przygotowania

Preparation:
Crush the nuts in a mortar. Add some sugar (200g) and some cinnamon (1 tablespoon) and mix together thoroughly. Tear off a piece of pastry, roll out and place some of the nut mixture in the centre. Fold up to make a little parcel and place on a baking tray. Brush the parcels with melted butter and bake in the oven for 30 minutes at a temperature of 180 ¬¬oC. Meanwhile, prepare the syrup. Add the rest of the sugar to the water, together with the cloves and the lemon juice. Bring to the boil. Add the rest of the cinnamon and cook for around 10 minutes. After removing the parcels from the oven, pour over the hot syrup and set aside to cool before serving.
